Pirates Rule the Philippine Market

Okay, this is our first official post. Technically it isnt.. hehehe. But it's our first post. Okay?

Ehem.. So our first topic is all about piracy and what is piracy doing to our country. Me and Fallmarine, we are both living in the Philippines. And what's shocking about the market is that, its a black market! Like, most of the malls here have black markets selling different kinds of pirated products, wether it be, dvd's or cd's , band albums, games ( ps2, wii, xbox 360 blah blah blah) and so on. Prices range from 100 - 350 + philippine pesos ( thats about 2 - 8 dollars ). An original costs about 1000 - 4000+ pesos ( the correct price ). And the reason why piracy won over the originals is because many people here in the philippines are not that rich. Philippines is a poor country and thats another reason why the originals cost sooo much. If an original costs like, 40 pesos, then maybe people would buy the original instead of the pirated one. 

Big pirated markets like Green Hills ( a mall in the philippines ) sell cd's and dvd's for about, 100 - 250 + pesos. So let's say the normal price range of playstation 2 games is 1000-4000+ pesos . Let's assume it's 4000. A pirated playstation game costs about, 100. You have 4000 pesos. If you buy pirated playstation games, you get 40 games. But if you buy the original you only get one. And a normal Filipino would choose the pirated games over the original. You get the point. So pirates do rule over the Philippine market. How sad.
